Winter, Christmas and Holidays

Well Christmas is here and the Gainesville is empty like ghost town or as in Urdu it looks like “Shear Phir Gaya hea”: Lion has walked past.

Two days back the day was like heaven, sun was out with cold wind; wonderful combination. Now the winter is pocking it’s fingers; it’s cold enough to make your teeth make sound of dance floor beet and your bones like they have been betrayed by the flesh, left all exposed to fight with winter.

Gainesville as always is looking beautiful, the leaves are changing colors and there is all peace and calm.

 

 

 

 

Spain wins, Octopus is creeping me out now!

The few seconds which resulted in Andres Iniesta shooting a fatal goal, were the seconds which one should watch again and again. In those seconds, even before Andres had that ball, it looked something really good is going around.  Ok hands up admission, I am amateur follower of Football game, although I do watch World Cup and try not to miss finals, so my point of view of those seconds could be childish. But hei, Spain won

Watched the game at Reitz Union and the 90% of the crowd was going mad shouting Espania!, Espania! I went there supporting Spain, but watching so many people on one side, I shifted to Netherlands, someone has to support other team. But man! they played bad and they played rough.  Frankly after so many fouls I was hitting my self for supporting the Netherlands,  not that the other side was playing any amazing. The game although exciting but looked like both side does not have the extra fire to go for kill.

Finally Pita Pit

After my distasteful experience at Pita Pit, I never stepped in their shop for about 1.5 years. But all my friends ‘hey let’s go to pita pit‘ and I was no you go ahead, I will take something else. Some days back, I decided to buckle up and give it another try (and yes everything else was closed at 1 O clock in night).

This time no Tuna Salad, I ordered Falafel with Hummus. It was great. Really I was surprised, well better than subway. Sprouts gave extra taste. Two days after that I went again, this time Falafel with Baba Ganoush, again it was good experience. It is little bit expensive than Subway but it is better tasting also.

I can’t say I have become fan, but at least I know I can eat one more thing when I am on campus.
