Pakistan: New Nationwide Survey (Another joke)

20 Sep

al Qaeda’s safe haven is built on a solid foundation of favorable Pakistani public opinion. ” This is the starting comments in the CNN Terrorism Analyst Peter Bergen report based the survey done by Terror Free Tomorrow.

And how many people they have interviewd 1044.

Even the surveys done by companies to decide about the product consists of more people, and here we are talking about Millions and Billions of money being invested. Thousands of lives supposidely being saved. Most wanted person’s arrest being questioned on this.

A country so big and diverse and their opinion is based on 1044 face to face interviews.

  • The number is lower than number of students in the college (public) I used to study. Its lower than people who will be attending the Data Darbar in one week. Its lower than people who will be visiting the Theaters in Pakistan in a month. Its lower than the socalled private University’s number of students in Lahore. Smaler than people who apply for admission in few departments of Punjab University.
  • Definitely lower than people attending a wedding ceremoney in 3, 4 wedding halls on one night alone in Lahore.

No doubtly Mr. Musharaf is not famous but no person with sane mind can say that people of Pakistan are supporting Al Qaeda. Yes they might not want Pakistani’s being killed by our own army in Nouthern Areas. But they do not want to help terrorists. What they want is Democracy and Musharaf is Army Ruler.

Its simple logic

John MacCain (is in Advisory Board of ‘Terror Free Tomorrow’) should be analyse what is being deducted from such report. Unfortunately this report is making headlines in major newspapers of America.

Maximus there is long list of the such Surveys that comes out after every few weeks. If will try to review some new survey but right now the situation of Pakistan is more dependent on the internal variables than the external ones.
If you have read any-other survey and you want to comment about it please feel free to add comments about that.
